Kayaking with manatees during Manatee Season (November 15 –  March 31)  is the perfect activity for families, going alone, or small and large groups. You can take an unforgettable trip from our private launch at Pete’s Pier Marina to King’s Bay and visit some local springs, see manatees, dolphins, wildlife, turtles, birds, and various fish that live in our local waters. If you want to visit the world famous Three Sisters Springs, it is open for kayaking from April 1st – November 14th each year when manatees are in fewer numbers.  During manatee season they close Three Sisters Springs and occasionally open it to swimmers ONLY, no kayaks, when the manatee count is lower.  That is a day to day determination by the local FWC.

Single Sit On Top Kayak

We use only top of the line Crescent brand kayaks with elevated comfortable seats for every kayak.  Our kayaks are hands down the BEST kayaks available for rent in the market and can hold up to 325 pounds. All of our kayak rentals include life jackets, paddles, and a map of the area. Minimum age requirement of 12 years of age. A minimum of one adult (ages 18+) is required for every booking.

Tandem Sit On Top Kayak

Our tandem kayaks hold two adults or one adult and one child up to 525 pounds total and have two seats. There is an option to add a third seat for a small child, age 3 – 5 for $10 at checkout. Life jackets and paddles are included.  Children are allowed from ages 3 and above. Each party involving minors (ages 3-12) must have another member age 13+ to pair with their children.  A minimum of one adult (ages 18+) is required for every booking.

Important Information

We require that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your reservation time for rental products and tours.  There is a short video (required by FWC) and waivers to sign before sending out.  We allow a 30 minute window ahead of your scheduled time on the water to get properly checked in, sign waivers, use the facilities, and get with your group if on a tour.
Your time on the water starts at your booking time.  As such, if you arrive at your reservation time and not 30 minutes early, it will cut into your time on the water.  Within 30 minutes there are no cancellations or rebooking allowed for rentals.  You may only rebook a rental by calling 30 minutes or longer BEFORE your designated start time.

Children must be at least 3 years of age to participate on tours or with our kayak/paddleboard rentals.  Per Pete’s Pier Marina, there is a $5.00 per person launch fee that is charged at checkout. You will be given a bracelet that is necessary to launch at our location.

There is a $10 parking fee at Pete’s Pier Marina.
